Enough With the Fucking Guns

Alison Parker and Adam Ward were murdered with a gun, and the world got to see it happen. They were a reporter and cameraman, respectively, who were shot to death during a live news broadcast. It's been less than a day, and the gun nuts are already starting. And yes, I mean gun nuts. I'm talking about the knee jerk half-wit jackasses that come out of the woodwork every time a horrifying shooting happens. They don't care if it happens in a school, a McDonald's or a movie theater. People died? Not the gun's fault. Dead kids? Not the gun's fault. Live murder telecast? Not the gun's fault. Are we supposed to feel sympathy for the gun? Aww, poor wittle gun. Evewybody finks you're the bad guy. That's not true, is it? Is it, my pwecious wittle gun?

Go fuck yourself.

Some dumb cunt organization called Cold Dead Hands on is circulating a meme on Facebook with a picture of the shooter. "Like and share if you blame this man for the Virginia shooting... not the gun he used." I'm really tired of this argument. I have been since Columbine. That was over sixteen years ago. It happened in the previous century. Some of you still don't have a clue.

Look up the two videos from today's murders by gun. It wasn't just a shooting. It was a double homicide by gun. Go ahead. Look up the two videos, and then watch them. Watch the news footage first, and then watch the footage from the guy who used a gun to commit two murders. I will beat that fact into your empty heads, by the way. I watched both videos. Everyone should. We didn't experience the inside of the schools or movie theaters where murders with guns took place. We didn't see any of those people get shot. You don't exactly see that in these videos, either, but what you do see is pure terror. In the news footage, you hear gunshots, then screaming as Parker runs away, then Ward's camera hits the ground before the video cuts away to the anchor. It's horrifying. When you're done trying to shake that off, watch the footage shot by the man who murdered these people with his gun. You see his point of view as he aims the gun at Parker, then West, then Parker again before shooting them to death with his gun. If you can watch that and still cling to your stupid memes and repetitious uttering of "right to bear arms," you're an inhuman piece of shit.

Shooting them to death with his gun. Let's take the poor innocent gun out of that sentence. We'd also have to take out the word shooting. That would likely eliminate "to death" as well. All because we took the gun out of the situation. I already know your argument. "He could have used a knife. Should we ban every knife, smart guy?" He could have used a sharpened stick, but that's a stupid argument, too. Guns cause more death in less time than any other hand held weapon. And even worse, it can be done from far away. You can fight a guy with a knife, because he has to be near you. Good luck punching a guy who is shooting at you from a passing car. He can't drive-by stab you. Your argument is beyond weak.

You're also going to suggest that we should all have guns so we can shoot the bad guys when they start shooting. That's the shittiest idea you've ever had other than breeding, which most of you mouth breathers unfortunately do. You say it with the expectation that the supposed "good guy" will be calm under pressure and deliver a single accurate kill shot no matter what situation occurs. On top of a crazy gun murderer, we'll add someone who can't see inside of that dark theater zinging bullets in the other direction. I guess we don't care where the bullets go. Let's arm our teachers, because nothing eases my mind like thinking about old Mrs. Robinson handling a glock with her two inch thick glasses and her arthritis. I'm sure she'll be a regular Annie Oakley when the time comes.

This brings us to the Second Amendment. "Right to bear arms" is the entire response you'll get from any of these dickless geniuses when you ask them what the amendment says. They're not even intelligent enough to form a complete sentence. What it actually says is "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Can anybody decipher that half-assed scattered rambling? No. Nobody can. People have tried. Smart people, even. Legal experts don't have a clue what it means. And if you think this gives you the right to start your own militia, I definitely don't want you to have a gun.

We can regulate guns all day long, but it won't mean a thing if we don't do it right. Remember Sandy Hook? That murderer by gun got his weapons from his mother, who got her guns legally. The problem was that she lived with a mentally unstable person, and this was not news to her or anyone else. Her carelessness cost her, as she was one of the people murdered by a gun. Jesus Christ, look at the people we pay to carry guns. That's not going all that well, is it? A cop could be reaching for his wallet, and I'm ready to run like hell.

Look, I know this is the part where we get to responsible gun ownership and safety training and blah blah blah. You sound like a broken record. I get that there are hunters and other people that treat these weapons with reverence, but you really have to look at what matters here. What's more important to you, shooting a ten point buck once a year, or thirty children getting to see tomorrow? You want to hunt? Use a bow. Problem solved. Some people like to target shoot. Great. You can also use a bow, or you can get a paintball gun or an air rifle. It really won't make a difference if that soda can has a bullet hole in it or a paint splatter on it, except that you can reuse it if it's just paint.

Think about what really matters here. Positive change involves personal sacrifice. I'm talking to you, the person reading this. If you want something good to happen, you have to do something about it. I'm not oblivious to the fact that I've been selfish and lazy in my lifetime. Most of us require a jarring moment to shake the way we think. Please, go watch those videos, and let that be it. You can either start caring about what's happening, or you can keep posting your stupid dog pictures while you wait around for someone else to do nothing about anything.
