Book: Keeping Molly (2016, Source Point Press / 2014, Splatter Theatre Press)

Written by David C. Hayes and Kevin Moyers

Alan and Molly are young, in love and expecting. The last thing on their minds is a disease that ravages the nervous system and turns its victims into feral, flesh-eating beasts. As the world nose dives into the apocalypse and the government takes action in rounding up the infected, Molly rapidly develops symptoms. Believing that love can conquer all, Alan secrets his wife away, hiding her from the world. If he can just wait it out, Alan thinks, all will be well. But Molly is very, very hungry.

Stand-Up Comedy: Miserable Bastard

Recorded July 26, 2008 at Space 55 in Phoenix, AZ
Released September 2, 2008

My first stand-up comedy CD was recorded at one of my favorite independent theaters in the Phoenix area. I talk about fast food, relationships, lady parts, cremation, holidays, NASCAR, an odd place to put things and some other stuff. All proceeds go directly to me, so that's pretty cool.

Comic Book: Serial

Issue #1 Artwork: Pogo the Clown (John Wayne Gacy) crayon sketch
Issue #2 Writing: Lizzie Borden segment
Issue #3 Writing: BTK segment

Serial is about exactly what you might think. Each issue is an anthology based on real life serial killers, mass murderers and other legendary killers. Each issue has a theme. One story is short, the next is a little longer and the feature story is the majority of each book. In the first issue, I drew a crayon sketch of John Wayne Gacy's birthday party alter ego, Pogo the Clown. In the scond issue, I wrote a short about Lizzie Borden that intertwines the famous nursery rhyme with the facts of the police report. In the end, I'm not convinced that Lizzie is our killer. For the proposed third issue, I'll be writing a feature segment on the BTK Killer, Dennis Rader.

Short Film: Love Tard

as The Tard

Release Date: August 21, 2009
Starring Kevin Moyers, David C. Hayes

I really don't know what to say about this, except that it's the result of minutes of hard work. When you mash a bad short that I wrote with clips from a bad movie that David C. Hayes was in, you somehow end up with over a minute and a half of sheer brilliance. Just watch it below, and you'll completely understand.
