Enough With the Fucking Guns

Alison Parker and Adam Ward were murdered with a gun, and the world got to see it happen. They were a reporter and cameraman, respectively, who were shot to death during a live news broadcast. It's been less than a day, and the gun nuts are already starting. And yes, I mean gun nuts. I'm talking about the knee jerk half-wit jackasses that come out of the woodwork every time a horrifying shooting happens. They don't care if it happens in a school, a McDonald's or a movie theater. People died? Not the gun's fault. Dead kids? Not the gun's fault. Live murder telecast? Not the gun's fault. Are we supposed to feel sympathy for the gun? Aww, poor wittle gun. Evewybody finks you're the bad guy. That's not true, is it? Is it, my pwecious wittle gun?

Go fuck yourself.

Some dumb cunt organization called Cold Dead Hands on is circulating a meme on Facebook with a picture of the shooter. "Like and share if you blame this man for the Virginia shooting... not the gun he used." I'm really tired of this argument. I have been since Columbine. That was over sixteen years ago. It happened in the previous century. Some of you still don't have a clue.

Look up the two videos from today's murders by gun. It wasn't just a shooting. It was a double homicide by gun. Go ahead. Look up the two videos, and then watch them. Watch the news footage first, and then watch the footage from the guy who used a gun to commit two murders. I will beat that fact into your empty heads, by the way. I watched both videos. Everyone should. We didn't experience the inside of the schools or movie theaters where murders with guns took place. We didn't see any of those people get shot. You don't exactly see that in these videos, either, but what you do see is pure terror. In the news footage, you hear gunshots, then screaming as Parker runs away, then Ward's camera hits the ground before the video cuts away to the anchor. It's horrifying. When you're done trying to shake that off, watch the footage shot by the man who murdered these people with his gun. You see his point of view as he aims the gun at Parker, then West, then Parker again before shooting them to death with his gun. If you can watch that and still cling to your stupid memes and repetitious uttering of "right to bear arms," you're an inhuman piece of shit.

Kevin Still Hates Jenny McCarthyism

In 2008, I started a blog and podcast called Kevin Hates Everything. On May 3 of that year, I posted about one dipshit's quest to rid the world of life saving vaccines. Today, at the start of 2015, I am in the middle of this battle with my daughter's mom. See, one of us believes in vaccines, and the other is a paranoid delusional that chooses to follow the "research" of a discredited doctor name Wakefield and a mediocre actress that got famous by showing us all her tits. As much as I like tits, I can't claim to be the latter person in this scenario. My daughter is now six, and still not properly vaccinated. According to our custody agreement, her mother and I have 50/50 decision-making ability when it comes to medical issues. That would be great if we both had vaginas. Sorry, but that's the most important piece of evidence in any custody hearing. "Which one of you has the vagina? You? Well, then. Not only do you get to spend 92% of the time with the child, but you get a free paycheck and all of the power to boot." Sorry, ladies, but that's how it is. Sadly, it's just as bad or worse in Canada and Europe. That, however, is a topic for a different day. This is about the vaccine my daughter doesn't have to prevent her from being affected by the current outbreak of measles that is spreading throughout the southwest, including Maricopa County in Arizona, which is where we live.

Do you know what the latest argument is? If vaccines are so important for health, why aren't they free? Free? Like chemotherapy, open heart surgery, the nephrostomy I had in 1998 to get rid of a giant kidney stone, insulin, band-aids, peroxide and all of the other necessary health items that are put to use to save our lives? Oh, wait. Also not free, at least not in America.
Franklin D. Roosevelt said something very important that needs to be repeated. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Well, maybe fear and bullets. Sorry, too soon, or something. Whatever. What follows is my post from May 3, 2008. Almost six years later, I still think I'm pretty much spot on. I will say that I was probably wrong about ADD. Maybe that's because I was diagnosed with it a few years ago, and I understand it a lot more than I did. Other than that, I'm still brilliant.

Why the Sports Fan and the Comic Geek are the Same Guy

Like many, I keep a foot in both of these arenas. I'm not 100% into either. As far as sports go, I'm full on into football. Well, NFL football. I don't care about college, arena leagues or semi-pro crap. I play fantasy, and despite my one championship, I make the playoffs about 40% of the time. I like hockey, but I'm not a die hard fan. I watch a game here and there, and I love the playoffs. Baseball, basketball and soccer can all go fuck themselves. When it comes to comic books, I don't read them. I've written a few that you've never heard of. I like the movies and cartoons made from comics. I enjoy walking through a comicon and seeing all of the artwork and the craziness. I rarely buy anything.

Many of you, though, decide to join one team and ridicule the other. Sports fans look at comic geeks as losers who look at kids' shit. Comic geeks look at sports fans as jocks who need to grow up. Guess what? You're both right, but you need to realize that you aren't really that different.

Released September 2, 2008

My first stand-up comedy CD was recorded at one of my favorite independent theaters in the Phoenix area. I talk about fast food, relationships, lady parts, cremation, holidays, NASCAR, an odd place to put things and some other stuff. All proceeds go directly to me, so that's pretty cool.

Comic Book: Serial

Issue #1 Artwork: Pogo the Clown (John Wayne Gacy) crayon sketch
Issue #2 Writing: Lizzie Borden segment
Issue #3 Writing: BTK segment

Serial is about exactly what you might think. Each issue is an anthology based on real life serial killers, mass murderers and other legendary killers. Each issue has a theme. One story is short, the next is a little longer and the feature story is the majority of each book. In the first issue, I drew a crayon sketch of John Wayne Gacy's birthday party alter ego, Pogo the Clown. In the scond issue, I wrote a short about Lizzie Borden that intertwines the famous nursery rhyme with the facts of the police report. In the end, I'm not convinced that Lizzie is our killer. For the proposed third issue, I'll be writing a feature segment on the BTK Killer, Dennis Rader.
